Fixed Braces
CASE 1
Alison didn't like her pointy upper, front side teeth. She was missing her two upper lateral incisors and her lower teeth were crooked and worn. We talked through various options and decided to use a fixed brace to straighten Alison’s teeth followed by composite resin bonding as an alternative to veneers. The teeth were straightened over 18 months and then tooth whitening was carried out. Finally, composite bonding was used to close the gap between her upper teeth and to build up the pointy teeth, making them look more natural.
CASE 2
Laura was referred to us from her regular dentist. She was unhappy with her smile; her two upper front teeth were missing, with cross bites at the back of her mouth and crooked teeth at the bottom. We felt that the best way to correct Laura’s bite as well as give her the smile she wanted was to first use a Damon fixed brace and then a combination of tooth whitening and composite bonding. The end result was a beautiful and natural smile.
CASE 3
Darren was very unhappy with both the colour and position of his teeth. He was happy to have a clear ceramic brace used to move his teeth and so we straightened them over the course of a year. All that was left to do after this was to reshape some of the edges of the teeth and to whiten them with a home tooth whitening kit.
CASE 4
Inga was unhappy with her smile, particularly the very crowded upper front teeth. We used a fixed brace (Damon clear ceramic system) to straighten and level the upper and lower front teeth and to correct the bite on the back teeth. Inga used a home tooth whitening kit to complete her treatment. The treatment time was 18 months resulting in a beautiful natural smile.
CASE 5
Kim felt that her front teeth were too protruding causing her upper and lower front teeth to push her lips out. We used a fixed clear ceramic brace to help to pull Kim's teeth back. It’s clear to see the effect that this had on Kim's face and she was very happy with her new smile.
CASE 6
Graham was really conscious of his upper front teeth, which he had always felt stuck out, and this affected his confidence. He wanted to have his teeth straightened but he did not want anything visible, so we used a fixed brace on the inside of his teeth to straighten them and pull them back. The treatment took about 18 months, after which we whitened his teeth and repaired the chipped worn top and bottom front teeth with composite resin bonding
